How to renovate your home to add real value?June 13th, 2013 - Posted in Others
If you’re just renovating your home, even if you’re not planning on selling it any time soon, you might be still thinking about the added value you are bringing to you home, should you decide to sell it at some point. What works and what doesn’t work so well in terms of increasing value of your property is always a difficult question.
The newest home renovation competition can definitely help you with some ideas when Property Brothers Drew and Jonathan Scott will be competing against each other in the six-episode series Brother vs. Brother. Their task is to guide their teams and make the smartest renovation decisions they can to increase the property value the most. Both of the team leaders, the brothers, are experienced in home renovation from one side of the game or another, Drew being an experienced real estate agent and Jonathan a licensed contractor.
The work of their teams will be judged by HGTV’s real estate experts Hilary Farr and David Visentin from Love It or List It, Kennon Earl from Selling LA and Mike Aubrey from Power Broker.
The grand prize of the show is $50 000. More information about the show can be found at HGTV.com/brothers. You are also invited to vote there for either #TeamDrew or #TeamJonathan.
The show premieres July 21, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
